Campfires
Friday and Saturday evening will feature a bonfire (we like our fires BIG). Join us around the campfire for conversation, networking, and storytelling, of course complete with S’mores.
Outdoor Movies
Each evening, we'll show a family-friendly movie under the stars. Bring a camping chair, relax with friends and family, and enjoy an outdoor movie experience that's better than a drive-in!
Survival Store
During the Conference, you'll learn about practical survival equipment, how to use it effectively, and how to consolidate your new treasure trove of knowledge and survival accessories into a portable kit, from creating a pocket hiking kit to an IFAQ fit for surviving wrestling polar bears (you'll have to attend the conference to hear that story), you'l leve with plenty of ideas for your own setup. Many of the items discussed throughout the weekend will be available for purchase in our on-site Survival Store, including but not limited to fire steels, whistles, SAM Splints, paracord, webbing, knives, and other field essentials. Cash, Venmo, PayPal are accepted forms of payment.
Meal Time Demonstrations & Entertainment
We believe learning shouldn't stop when class ends. During lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, attendees can enjoy demonstrations, presentations, and entertainment. Past featured activities included Search & rescue K-9 teams, disaster response demonstrations, musicians, jugglers, and other special guests.
Survival Tricks
Many educational sessions begin with a quick survival tip or fieldcraft demonstration. These practical skills are designed to be simple, memorable, and useful in the real world.
Past tricks have included:
• How to turn your wristwatch into a compass
• Finding the North Star
• Determining time using only your fist
• Extracting individual strands of paracord to make survival tools
• Even more useful wilderness and survival techniques
Lodging
Camp with us! On-site camping is included with registration. The course is held on private, forested property, allowing attendees to pitch a tent (or hammock) throughout the venue at no additional cost. Plenty of space is also available for RV boondocking.
One of our favorite sights each year is watching the wilderness community come togetehr around camp, making new friends and sharing stories long after the day's sessions have ended.
Location
The conference is hosted at El Dorado Ranch near Bristow, Oklahoma, conveniently located between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
